Tuesday’s Gone: Deadboy & the Elephantmen Give White Stripes Tough Duo Competition With “Stop, I’m Already Dead”

Continuing our spotlight on Dax Riggs this week, for today’s Tuesday’s Gone, we’re taking a look at his first real foray into the relatively more pedestrian realm of indie-rock, which came courtesy of his Deadboy & the Elephantmen days.  Granted, this wasn’t Dax’s first band after the demise of Acid Bath in 1997. Indeed, he fronted the short-lived (and markedly more sedate) Agents of Oblivion circa 2000, but Deadboy was the first band to gain some traction and fandom outside of the metal community, which peaked in the mid-aughts thanks to the success of “Stop, I’m Already Dead”, which is performed here live on the Henry Rollins Show from 2006.
