By now no doubt most everyone has heard the news that Ace Frehley, lead guitarist for the iconic band Kiss, passed away last week at the age of 74. And while the Spaceman may have departed us for that great gig in the sky, fortunately he left behind a plethora of epic performances over the years to help ensure he will always be remembered as one of the most sensational guitar players of all time. A fantastic example of that is this blazing performance of “Shock Me” live from 1977, which of course features a (literally) smoking solo that finds him showing off his guitar virtuosity as only he could.
