Rounding out our tribute to the late great Ace Frehley in light of his recent passing last week, for today’s Weirdo Wednesday, we’re showcasing this classic interview from The Tom Snyder on Halloween night from1979. Ace’s renowned cackle is in full effect here as he uses this opportunity to unleash much of the pent up tension between the party side (Ace and Peter Criss) and the serious side (Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley). Simmons appears to be clearly unamused by Ace’s joking around and making light of KISS, In addition to discussing Kiss’s elaborate stage show, including pyrotechnics and costume details, they also touch on their early days and how their high-energy performances evolved over the years.
