Rounding out our salute to King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard this week, most everybody knows they’ve dabbled in practically every genre imaginable over the course of their insanely prolific fifteen-year career to date. Suffice to say they are a band of many talents, but did you know King Gizz also, has, wait for it…bars? Yes, that’s right, the Aussie prog-rock extraordinaries also have some serious flow, as evidenced by this clip of them performing “The Grim Reaper” live at Bonnaroo a few years back (2022 to be exact). Throw in some delightfully spaced-out funky beats and a little jazz flute and yeah, you’ve got a pretty good recipe for a surreal yet unmistakably King Gizz Weirdo Wednesday. Enjoy:
