Luke Winslow-King has announced the forthcoming release of his new album Coast of Light, arriving March 27 via Bloodshot Records. The first glimpse of the project comes with “Dangerous Blues,” a brooding, live-wire lead single accompanied by a performance video:

Long celebrated for his genre-defying approach, Winslow-King continues to blend jazz, blues, classical, and folk into a sound that feels both cinematic and deeply personal. His fluid guitar work, unguarded songwriting, and rugged yet tender vocals have earned widespread acclaim. As The New York Times once noted, his music “seamlessly melds Delta blues, gospel and jazz themes with personal, simplified lyrics that speak to his personal and artistic evolution.”

Recorded at Jambona Lab Studios in Livorno, Italy, the 12-track album was co-produced by Winslow-King and Luti. The sessions brought together a tight ensemble: Winslow-King on guitar, percussion, and vocals; Roberto Luti on guitar; Simone Luti on bass; Piero Perelli on drums and congas; Nicola Venturini on Hammond organ, Fender Rhodes, piano, and drums; and Giacomo Riggi on mallet percussion.
