Record Store Day 2026- Glide’s Essential Picks: Ween, Flying Lotus, Caamp, King Gizzard, Steely Dan, Don Cherry & More

Saturday, April 18th, 2026, marks the date of yet another epic Record Store Day. The official list of exclusive releases for this most looked-forward-to day of the year has arrived, and it is nothing short of spectacular.

This year’s list has an almost equally intimidating presence as the cold weather, featuring 363 releases ranging from first-time pressings to electrifying reissues. With all this fun just waiting to be shelved next to your current favorite records, a question comes to mind: where to begin? Glide has done the heavy lifting of selecting the releases we are most excited to see hit the shelves at our local record store.

You can check out the full list of releases and Glide’s picks below.

Ween – “Europe 90”

This is Brown Ween in its dirtiest form. Three LPs of previously unreleased Ween, dragged straight out of the muck. LP1 captures the long-lost Eindhoven studio sessions cut on Christmas Day 1990. LPs 2 and 3 unleash the famously unhinged Live in Basel 1990 show—recorded sometime in the winter of ’90–’91 and widely rumored to be the best Ween show ever, a claim even Dean Ween backs. Zero polish, maximum Brown.

Caamp – Caamp 10th Anniversary Edition

https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/20147

Contemporary folk all-stars Caamp are celebrating the tenth anniversary of their seminal debut album with an official remastered and expanded edition. Along with the original 10 songs, which include hits like “So Long, Honey” and “All The Debts I Owe,” the new pressing will include three previously unreleased demos and four live tracks, all pressed on clear coke-bottle vinyl in a double sleeve.

The Cure – Acoustic Hits

Originally released in 1974 as a Japanese exclusive release, this classic Don Cherry live set is being restored and remastered for the first time this Record Store Day. The show, recorded in Paris in 1971, has been reworked from the original tapes and will be released on a double-LP gatefold.

Flying Lotus – 1983

https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/19904

Known as a genre-defying producer and visual artist, Flying Lotus has built an impressive catalog of innovation, but it all had to start somewhere. Lotus’s 2006 LP, 1983, has been long out of print until this upcoming RSD. For the first time on vinyl, 1983 arrives via the artist’s own Brainfeeder Records, allowing fans to map the artist’s ever-growing prowess even more clearly.

Freeman – Freeman

https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/19812

Freeman, George Ween’s band after Ween, released their debut album in 2014 to widespread acclaim, so much so that original pressings go for hundreds of dollars on the resale market. Now, you won’t have to break the bank to get this classic LP on wax. This RSD will see the reissue of Freeman’s self-titled debut, pressed on orange and purple vinyl.

Ghost Funk Orchestra – Live in Europe

https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/19798

Live in Europe was recorded across two sold-out shows, one in Amsterdam and the other in Warsaw, and captures the dynamic live show of this exhilarating band.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard – Big Fig Wasp

This year, the label and psych-rock icons teamed up for a bug-shaped pressing featuring tunes from the band like “Superbug” and “Grow Wings and Fly.” A dollar from every record sold will be donated to pollinator charities.

Adrianne Lenker – Live at Revolution Hall

https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/19826

RZA & Various Artists – The Man with the Iron Fists (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/19825

By now, most Wu-Tang fanatics have had the experience of hearing RZA’s contributions to the soundtrack for the film The Man with the Iron Fists, but maybe not like this. For this Record Store Day, the classic soundtrack is being pressed on 180g vinyl records, sleeved in a 1-of-1 cover.

Masayoshi Takanaka – On Guitar

https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/20162

Legendary guitarist Masayoshi Takanaka will see a revival this Record Store Day with the reissue of his 1978 classic, On Guitar. This 2026 RSD edition will be pressed on deep blue vinyl.

McCoy Tyner & Bobby Hutcherson – The Seeker

https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialRelease/19895

While consistently buzzed-about amongst jazz circles, the working partnership between McCoy Tyner and Bobby Hutcherson has always been a mysterious one. The two titans crossed paths a few times, but rarely shared the stage. Thankfully, one of those rare occurrences was captured on record, and it’s now yours to own. The Seeker is a rare, previously unreleased live recording in which Tyner’s trio welcomed Hutcherson onstage for a set featuring originals and standards. The pressing will be a hand-numbered, limited-edition release on double black vinyl.
