Before they were The Black Crowes, they were Mr. Crowe’s Garden. Early footage of a band before they became and looked as we know them to be is always fun, especially if its a young Chris and Rich Robinson.
At the time of Mr. Crowe’s Garden, the group hadn’t yet fully transformed into the bluesy southern rock powerhouse that would record Shake Your Money Maker. Instead, the music sounds closer to a hybrid of psychedelic pop and jangly 60s rock
While Rich looks like a preppy soccer player, Chris seems to be blossoming into the colorful frontman that would soon reveal itself in full bloom with the band’s debut album Shake Your Money Maker – crazy what a difference a few years make. Watch the band perform around Atlanta in 1987..
