LISTEN: Bill Fever Crafts Moody Indie Rock With Electronic Twists On “Raw Deals”

Bill Fever is an independent solo artist from the UK, based in Kettering, Northamptonshire. Fever has independently released 3 EPs since 2021 and has been playing live with his band since 2024, with performances across the UK – The Worcester Music Festival, The Black Prince during IVW, KettFest, Northants Rocks, and many more. Fever’s debut album Luxury Salad is set for release on October 10th.

“Raw Deals,” the latest preview of Fever’s upcoming LP, is a warped, twisted piece of indie rock that breathes new life into the genre while nodding to its forefathers. With a delicate balance, a metric ton of personality, and an artsy charm, Fever pieces together an explosive, electronic rock anthem. There is a push and pull at play on “Raw Deals,” as the chorus brings us to a colorful crescendo, only for the subdued verses that paint a portrait of raw emotions. The droning, emotional vocals bring with them a message both urgent and bleak. Fever croons of his distaste for complacency and the idea of “waiting,” as the artist would rather take matters into their own hands. “Raw Deals” warns of the hazards of waiting to change your ways and puts it to searing guitars and thudding drums in order to drive the point deep into your soul. “Raw Deals” is an unforgettable performance that hints at Fever’s upcoming LP being a landmark release for the imaginative artist.

“‘Raw Deals’ almost didn’t make it onto my album. It was one of those songs where I was struggling to nail down the final mix and having a hard time getting it across the line. Something wasn’t quite right, and was ready to set it aside for another time, but my drummer and guitarist, Liam and Peter, convinced me it was worth persevering,” explains Fever. “Something clicked, and managed to get the song to where it is now. It’s one of my favourites on the album, and I’ve loved playing it live. This song is all about speaking up and using your voice. I’m glad my bandmates did exactly that!”
