Rounding out our Unwound showcase for the week, for today’s Weirdo Wednesday, we’re serving up the official video for “Radio Gra” off their brilliant final album, Leaves Turn Inside You. An eerily atmospheric and all-consuming listening experience, the album captured the band at their experimental peak, channeling the moody, arty vibes that post-punk forefathers Wire pioneered in the late 70s, with their own distinctive spin, of course. The brooding, melancholic vibes of “Radio Gra” (which features a vaguely eerie Polish-language spoken intro) capture that feeling perfectly, but the people-saving-whales music video (an interesting choice) only adds to the track’s overall uncanny nature.
