Manic Monday: Motörhead Drop “The Hammer”

Let’s face it, Mondays can suck (especially dead-of-winter ones in January, no less). Which is why Manic Mondays were created to deliver something harsh, abrasive, and maybe a little mean to help jar everyone back into the weekly grind in a decidedly visceral fashion. So, in that spirit, we’re making it a Motörhead Manic Monday today by way of this delightfully ripping outdoor performance of “The Hammer” live from 1981. Here we find the OG Motörheadlineup effectively in their Ace of Spades-era prime, featuring, of course, the legendary Lemmy on bass/vocals, along with “Fast” Eddie Clarke on guitar, backed by Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor behind the kit.
