60 years ago today (3/11/66), Love released their self-titled debut album. This debut remains one of the earliest and most distinctive records to emerge from Los Angeles’ mid-60s rock explosion. Led by the enigmatic Arthur Lee, the record blended garage rock aggression, folk-rock melody, and the first hints of psychedelia that would soon define a new of rock.
