Taylor Bickett is a storyteller at heart. Hailing from Indiana and now living in Nashville, Tennessee, she has been writing since before she can remember. Taylor’s intimate lyricism and outstanding vocal range gracefully overlay organic folk/pop production, creating introspective singer/songwriter tunes that resonate with an entire generation. Her wistful, Gen Z anthem “QUARTER LIFE CRISIS” hit the internet in 2022 and compelled an audience struggling with their newfound adulthood to share their own photos and stories on TikTok soundtracked by her lyrics, “I swear 16 was yesterday, but now I’m closer to 28.”

Taylor’s subsequent 2023 EP, grown up and lonely, demonstrates her knack for writing honest and unfiltered songs. She kicked off 2024 with her single “I Like Mondays” which resonated with fans when she quickly wrote and posted the song on the 1st of January (a Monday). Her EP “This Isn’t Me Missing You” came in the fall of 2024 and she spent time on the road supporting artists like Ron Pope, Blü Eyes, and Áine Deane.

2025 found Taylor continuing to tour the US supporting Charlotte Lawrence and embarking on her first headline tour. When not performing, she was writing and recording her debut album, which includes her first single of 2026, “Wild Dogs,” releasing just ahead of her tour supporting Devin Kennedy.

Today, Glide is offering an exclusive premiere of “Wild Dogs” (PRE-SAVE) and its accompanying music video. The song is a poignant work of folk-pop that feels reminiscent of artists like Taylor Swift, Sara Bareilles, Gracie Abrams, and Lizzy McAlpine. Taylor’s vocals are rich and enchanting, while her lyrics speak to the kind of universal themes that are sure to connect with a wide audience. Despite the darker reflections of the lyrics, there is a sense of beauty and infectiousness to the track.

Taylor describes the inspiration behind the tune:

“I heard once that wild dogs eat their prey alive, hearts still beating. I looked into it and learned that they do this not because they’re cruel or sadistic, but because they’re scared of the bigger predators that will come along. I wrote ‘Wild Dogs’ as an exploration of this idea as it applies to human relationships. Sometimes the person who hurt you isn’t some villain set on destroying your life; they’re just a coward.”
