30 Years Ago Today – Ozzy Osbourne Released ‘Ozzmosis’ Album

30 years ago today (10/23/95), Ozzy Osbourne released his seventh solo album, Ozzmosis. It marked his return to recording after briefly announcing his retirement following 1991’s No More Tears and featured long-time guitarist Zakk Wylde as well as former Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler and drummer Deen Castronovo. Ozzmosis leans into a sludgy, modern heaviness that fits the mid-’90s metal scene, yet the album never landed anything regarded as too monumental in the  Ozzy songbook.
