years ago today (10/21/95), Shannon Hoon, the siren-pitched lead singer of Blind Melon, passed away at age 28 from a drug overdose. Blind Melon hit pay day with their 1993 hit “No Rain” and its infamous “bee girl” video from their self-titled debut album. 1995’s Soup followed and was a darker effort yet a more rewarding listen.
